Brian
and
I
gained
our
prefix
Beaumaris
in
1972.
We
did
not
name
it
after
the
castle
in
Anglesey!

I
have
always
been
a
great
fan
of
the
author
Georgette
Heyer,
my
favourite
book
of
hers
is
Arabella,
and
the
hero
is
Mr
Beaumaris!!!!!!!!!

Our
first
pedigree
cats
were
Siamese
and
our
first
champions
were
Unknown
Ajax
and
Grand
Sophy
(named
after
books
by
Georgette
Heyer).
I
bred
Siamese
from
spring
1972
and
then,
in
1979
we
bought
my
first
British
Blue
-
Rusjayne
Shady
Lady
(Jayne).
She
was
our
foundation
queen
and
we
also
kept
her
daughter
Beaumaris
Demelza
(16)
and
granddaughter
Beaumaris
Bluecream
Babe
(28).

Demelza
was
elderly
and
we
could
not
imagine
our
home
without
a
Blue,
so
we
bought
Mianja
Rhapsodyinblue
(16)
in
2000.
She
has
an
excellent
pedigree
with
all
the
old
cats
that
were
on
the
lines
I
bred
from
in
the
80's.

Our
first
Somali
was
Mycene
Ming
Rose
in
1989.
We
currently
have
3
Somalis
-
all
Usuals.
Pr.
Sitah
Codetta,
her
daughter
Ch.
Beaumaris
Cherubina
and
Cherub's
granddaughter
Ch.
Suenico
Seraphina.
Codetta
became
a
Premier
in
three
shows
at
the
age
of
eleven
!
We
also
have
a
spayed
Blue
Birman
female,
Delstar
Diva
who
came
to
us
in
1995

I
first
spotted
Egyptian
Maus
when
they
were
on
exhibition
at
the
Somali
Cat
Club
Show
in
March
1999
and
was
immediately
smitten
with
their
beauty
and
personality.
I
was
desperate
to
have
a
female
and
Brian
said
I
could
have
one
if I
could
afford
it!!!!!
(He
knows
I am
hopeless
with
money
and
can
never
save!)
Then,
within
a
week
or
two
I
had
notice
that
an
insurance
policy
I
had
forgotten
about
had
matured
and
so I
was
able
to
buy
Newkingdom
Tamyt,
a
beautiful
silver
Mau
with
clear
spotting,
no
tarnish
and
the
most
amazing
gooseberry
green
eyes
!
Our
Schnauzer
-
called
Joe.
Here's
Joe as a
puppy
when
he
won
4th
out
of
13
in
the
AV
Puppy
Class
at a
local
show,
and
below
last
year
(aged
12)
in
the
garden
!
