Here is a picture of my beautiful Seal Tabby Point Siamese female Ch. Killdown Elektra taken in 1990.

I was given my first Siamese by Brian as a wedding present in 1966.

We bought them in a pet shop and the pedigree was obviously falsified as they were called Donrail Mei Mau and Donrail Min-Ki – this was an obvious play on the very famous Doneraile prefix! As you can see they were not exactly typy but were great characters and full of mischief. We took them out to Mauritius with us for 4 years from 1968 - 1972 where they had a whale of a time! We called them Minky and Fred, Fred is on the right.

In 1972 I bought my first Siamese breeding queen. My best known female was Changlung Katinka, her sire was Ch. Longacres Jeremy. I mated her to Ch. Killdown Vanguard and they produced Ch. Beaumaris Unknown Ajax and Ch Beaumaris Grand Sophy in 1973.

Here is a picture of Ch Longacres Jeremy taken from the cover of Fur & Feather in August 1968

Here is a picture of Changlung Katinka, protecting her new babies.

This is Ch Beaumaris Unknown Ajax taken at 9 months when he won his first CC from 18 males, it was awarded by Anne Rickson.

Here is his sister, Ch Beaumaris Grand Sophy, she won the female CC on the same day from 24 females, she was judged by Mary Wilson.

Our first sealpoint stud was Ch Kowtow Khan, Ajax’s son, born in January 1975.

We also showed a very handsome chocolate

Tabbypoint male, Champion Reoky Pedro, when he was neutered he gained 2 premier certificates but did not really enjoy shows and put on some weight. He was the son of the first Siamese Grand Champion – Seremban Liger.

Here is a picture to stir a memory or two, it is Kay Burgess pictured one year at the Surrey and Sussex show (it must have been the 1970’s I think) and there in the background is Julia May !
