Selkirk Rex Success !

Our beautiful Selkirk Rex litter had great success on the show bench in 2005. There is information about their days out on my Selkirk Rex page but here are some photographs taken at the Bedford & District Show in April …..

Here are the 3 sisters, photographed by Alan Robinson

Britannia Rules is on the left, Bringon Thecurls in the centre and Shock Waves on the right…they had a very successful day.

Here is Bringon Thecurls looking as if butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth ! She is very photogenic and loves posing for the camera.

The girls won 4 Merits each as kittens and, so far, Shock Waves has won her 2 Adult Merits which means she is one of the qualifiers for the Intermediate Application – Well Done!!

On Saturday 24th April 2004, our 14 week old Smoke Egyptian Mau Female, Beaumaris Smenkhare, went to the Bedford Show at Wood Green.

She yelled all the way on the journey (unless I sang to her and rested my hand on the cat carrier, Brian was not sure which was the worse row!!!!). In the vetting-in queue I was trying to keep a low profile, but Smoky was having none of it! She chatted loudly to everyone, the theme for the day was , "Notice me, I'm HERE!!!"

We were very pleased with her results. She won her Merit from Carol Pike who wrote a very pleasing report. In her side classes all of her judges were changed from those we had entered her under but she won 3/7 from Jane Francis-Wilson in the Non-Self Kitten Class; 4/7 from Sheila Hamilton in the Breeders Female Kitten Class and 1/10 in the Debutante Kitten Class from Barbara Scruton. Not bad for a first outing and taking into consideration her age and that the classes were Foreign and Oriental Kittens mixed.

It was an excellent day for Egyptian Maus when Michelle Codd's very attractive silver female kitten won Best Assessment Exhibit - Congratulations.
